=SW= Server Rules
Rules to be updated for BF3...until then, these are still the guideline
Our rules for playing on SW/WW Servers
A. General
- This is a public, ranked server, that is played by players of all ages. Disrespect to any player, the clan, or clan admins will not be tolerated.
- Offensive language is not allowed. This includes words misspelled to bypass the language filter. VOIP (in game voice over) is subject to language rules.
- Racial remarks will result in immediate ban, with no chance for appeal.
- Server rules will be strictly enforced. Breaking rules will result in a warn, second time will be a kick, and third time will be a ban.
- Offensive player names, or clan tags are not allowed.
- Server disruptions are not welcome. This includes, but not limited to, spamming text, spamming voice, complaining about posted server rules, accusing other players of cheating, and any action that is meant to disrupt the game play of others.
B. =SW= and =WW= Admins
- Server admins are in the game for the same reason as everyone else. To play the game, and have fun. However, if you do need assistance, feel free to ask for help from an admin.
- All admins will wear clan tags of =SW= or =WW=. There may be times when admins may not wear clan tags to help enforce server rules.
- Disrespect to any admin will result in a warn/ kick/ or ban depending on the situation.
- Any player impersonating a =SW= or =WW= member will be warned once to remove the tags. Failure to remove tags will result in a ban.
- A clan tag of "admin" is not allowed, and will result in a kick if used.
C. Team Killing
- We know accidents will happen. The following does not apply to accidental team kills.
- The server is set to auto kick any player with a -12 (minus twelve) score.
- Any player team killing a fellow player to obtain access to a jet, tank, or any other vehicle will be instantly and irrevocably banned from the server.
- Forcing a team kill on a fellow player, such as standing in front of a jet trying to take off, will be treated as a team kill.
D. Cheating
- Cheating is defined as any player using hacks, exploits, or glitching to gain an advantage over other players.
a. "Glitching" is any player found to be inside any building, wall, rock, or any other objects not intended to be accessed in general game play.
b. Hacks are defined as any third party software used to gain an advantage during game play.
c. Exploits are considered to be items that try to fool the game. An example would be switching seats in the attack chopper.
- =SW= server streams live to www.PBBans.com, and www.punksbusted.com.
- Stat padding is not allowed.
E. General Game Play Rules
- Artillery is not to be used in games with fewer than 16 people, 8 or more per side.
- No Bunny Hopping. Any player that jumps to avoid being shot, is bunny hopping.
- No double seating in attack choppers or bomber aircraft.
- No "trolling" of opposing uncaps. This includes jets, choppers, or any vehicle.
a. Trolling is defined as an action used to take advantage of opposing players who are trying to leave the uncap and join the battle.
b. The intent is to allow players a free chance to leave the uncap, and engage in combat.
- Players are expected to be polite, and wait their turn for aircraft, and vehicles. This is a first come, first serve server.
a. "camping" in the uncap waiting for a vehicle is discouraged. The idea is to help your team, not sit in the uncap.
- No attacking opposing uncaps. This includes all ground troops, and all vehicles. Exceptions follow:
1. Special Forces kits are permitted to enter the uncap with the sole intent to C4 the commander assets. Players may NOT attack players in the uncap, and may only fire in self defense.
a. SF players may only steal a jeep, or boat to leave the uncap. Players are encouraged to leave the same way they came in.
b. Support troops are NOT permitted to protect, drive, re-supply, or perform any action in the uncap.
2. Aircraft are not permitted to enter UCB at anytime, unless they are already engaged with an opposing aircraft.
a. Aircraft may NOT drop bombs on commander assets. TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED PENDING REVIEW
b. Aircraft may continue to engage opposing aircraft into, and above the opposing uncap, if they were previously engaged.
c. Uncaps are NOT considered a "safe haven" for players who have already left the uncap.
3. Shooting into an uncap, from any distance, including artillery strikes, is considered attacking the uncap.
a. The intent of the rule is to allow a player a chance to spawn, and engage in combat without interference.
b. This rule applies at all times, even when a team controls all capturable points on the map.
i. If all points are controlled, a team is expected to defend its positions.
4 Uncaps are defined as any base that can not be captured. This includes the adjoining airfield, and any spawn points that can not be captured. "Arty Island" on Wake Island is open for attack, as it is too far away from the carrier to be a part of the uncap as are both Airfields on Kubra Dam
- Commanders must make commanding their top priority.
1. When the server has fewer than 10 players per side, a commander is allowed to engage in ground combat.
a. This is permitted as long as the commander can take care of, and command their troops.
2. At no time is a commander permitted to engage in combat in jets, or helicopters.
3. No artillery on the uncaps, EVER.
- Intentional ramming with aircraft is not permitted.
F. Rule Enforcement
- All server rules are in compliance with the EA Rules of Engagement, Rules of Conduct, and Server Admin Rules and Policies.
- Players violating server rules, will be warned, kicked, or banned, depending on the severity of the infraction, and the judgment of the issuing admin.
- Players banned from the server are welcome to register on the web site forums, and ask for the ban to be lifted.
a. In some cases, bans will not be lifted, such as players using racial remarks, TK'ing for jets, hacking, and so forth.
- This server is intended to be a relaxed atmosphere for playing. If you do not agree with the server rules, please leave the server, and join one with the rules you do like.
